Built and still owned by the Frank family, 101-year-old Camp Wauhkin perches above Lake Placid looking west to the mountains. A short, private path between giant white pines and balsams leads to Wauhkin's boathouse, dock, and 300 feet of lakefront, where you can swim, sail, paddle the canoes, or just lie in the sun. The heart of the house is the huge, two-story living/dining room with massive stone fireplace and original turn-of-the-century furniture -- the epitome of rustic luxury.
